A little about us. Sorry we don't sell anything we are here purely as an information source, if there anything you would like to share let us know (sprite@omniautos.f9.co.uk) and we will try to include it in this site. We've been messing with cars and bikes and their engines since the 60's and Sprites, Midgets and A40's since the the 70's, not actually owning one until the begining of the 80's. We've hill climbed, sprinted and autotested A40s, Sprites and others, been involved with customising and helped with race and kits cars. Designing new bits or just modifing existing ones and we've crewed on rallies and for circuit racers. Most memorable being the first race one season where between practice and the race we got one guys engine and gearbox out and got someone to bring another gearbox and fitted that. Whilst we striped down someone elses engine to reseal all the oil way plugs that hadn't sealed. And the last was just a straight forward engine out change the clutch and put it back together. They all made the start, we still try to get along to the Birkett 6 hr each year and support a Sprite team.

Having been a regular visitor to Midget Sprite club sales and wants ads I've notice loads of owners looking for unleaded heads, I do reply if I have time to say I've used Carbonflo since 1982 in all my A-Series cars, none of these have been driven gently most have been hammered around Castle Combe and all (including the A40's) have been happy driving up and down the motorway at the speed limit, I wouldn't speed. I have no connections with Carbonflo and am putting this here because I read it doesn't work. I must be very lucky I've had so many cars (see Nik's Cars) including one with a silly high Comp Ratio but even it came to no harm.
I also notice loads offering Disc conversions that will fit frogeyes and Morris Minors, if they fit a sprite they will fit A30 - 40's, Frogeyes (but check the Kingpins there are 2 different sizes, when you're checking measure both ends as one will be the same and one maybe different) but not Morris Minors you'd need Marina or Ital bits.

AND BY ADDING BALLAST AMOUNT AND POSITION THIS WILL TELL YOU THE EFFECT
ON CORNER WEIGHTS AND FRONT/REAR, LEFT/RIGHT PERCENTAGES.
CORNER WEIGHT CALCULATOR - PUT IN YOUR EXISTING CORNER
WEIGHTS AND THIS WILL TELL YOU CORNER WEIGHTS AND FRONT/REAR, LEFT/RIGHT
PERCENTAGES. GIVE IT YOUR PREFERRED FRONT/REAR, LEFT/RIGHT BIAS AND IT
WILL TELL YOU THE CORNER WEIGHTS YOU REQUIRE.
INCLINED SPRING RATE CALCULATOR - PUT IN VERTICAL AND
HORIZONTAL DIFFERENCE IN MOUNTING POINTS TOGETHER WITH SPRING RATE AND
BUMP/DROOP AND IT WILL GIVE YOU VERTICAL TRUE SPRING RATE AT REST AND FULL
BUMP TOGETHER WITH TRUE VERTICAL RATES AND SPRING RATE TO ACHIEVE ORIGINAL
RATE AS VERTICAL RATE.
SPEED CALCULATOR - THIS USES TYRE SIZES (13x165/70 or
any other you put in) OR ROLLING DIAMETER OR CIRCUMFERENCE TOGETHER WITH
AXLE RATIO AND GEAR RATIO TO GIVE SPEED PER 1000 REVS 1000-8000, SPEED
AT SPECIFIC REVS AND REVS AT SPECIFIC SPEED.
THROTTLE QUADRANT CALCULATOR - KEY IN YOUR CABLE PULL
AT THE PEDAL AND IT WILL GIVE YOU THE THROTTLE QUADRANT RADIUS (OR ARM
LENGTH IF THAT'S WHAT YOU USE). IT ALSO ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE THE ANGLE
THE QUADRANT/ARM IS PULLED THROUGH.
